All day on Labor Day, Sept. 7, MARTA is inviting everyone to ride its trains, buses and Mobility service at no charge – that’s right, free. Free Ride is the second ridership initiative introduced by MARTA in recent weeks. The Customer Rewards Program, which allows customers to earn free, round-trip Breeze tickets based on the number of trips they take during a 30-day promotional period, was introduced earlier in August. MARTA will be running a Sunday schedule on Labor Day and you won’t have to tap your Breeze card throughout the day. For more information, visit itsmarta.com.
If you’re at the Decatur Book Festival this weekend, be sure to drop by the MARTA station to find out more about the Clifton Corridor Transit Initiative. On Saturday, Sept. 5 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., MARTA staff will be at the station to answer questions about the proposed expansion project that will provide a direct transit link between the Lindbergh Center Station in the City of Atlanta and the Avondale Station in DeKalb County.
