
The Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside Trail could become home to a $40 million mixed-use project with a boutique hotel, retail, restaurants and residential. Curbed Atlanta (via The Atlanta Business Chronicle) want to build the project on part of Studioplex’s large parking lot area. The hotel would have 140 rooms, plus there would be 8,000 square feet of retail space, 10,000 square feet of restaurant space and 56 residential units.
Thieves committed a smash-and-grab robbery early Tuesday morning at the Dillard’s at Atlantic Station and made off with $35,000 in jeans and hoodies, according to the AJC. Police said the thieves used a large rock to shatter the side glass doors to the store about 2 a.m.
Officials with Dragon Con report that a record-breaking 70,000 people attended this past weekend’s annual sci-fi, fantasy, anime and cosplay conference in Downtown.
