Police have made an arrest in a sexual assault that occurred during Dragon Con earlier this month, according to a report from CBS46. Garry Jefferson Hood was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery and misdemeanor sexual battery. A spokesperson for the Atlanta Police Department said the assault occurred between 3 and 5 a.m. Sept. 6 outside a of the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Police said the woman walked outside the hotel with Hood after a conversation and was assaulted in a remote area.

Brand Properties has asked for a deferral from consideration of its proposed redevelopment of the former Garden Hills shopping center site on Peachtree Road in Buckhead by the Zoning Committee of Neighborhood Planning Unit-B in an effort to address concerns of neighboring residents. According to BuckheadView, neighboring residents are concerned about the size and scope of the mixed used office and retail project. The development was due to come before the zoning committee next week.

The owner of Antico Pizza has agreed to pay 60 employees a total of $329,445 for violating their wage rights under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Giovanni DiPalma was accused of cheating workers out of pay for years and threatening them if they cooperated with a federal investigation into his business conduct, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
