The handcuffed man who jumped from a third floor window of the Fulton County Superior Court Diversion Center on Peachtree Street this morning has died of his injuries, according to a police statement.

According to reports, the incident happened around 10:30 a.m. when it was discovered the man had brought a gun into the building. The man, who was at the center for a pretrial intervention related to a drug charge, was taken into custody and seated in a conference room while an investigation was ongoing.

According to witnesses, the man stood up and dove headfirst through the window. He landed on Walton Street and was taken to Grady Hospital in critical condition.

Update: The AJC has identified the man as Tyquan Richardson, 22, of Atlanta. Fulton County Jail records show Richardson was booked into the jail Sept. 17 on cocaine and marijuana possession charges, and was released Friday on $8,000 bond.
