Oglethorpe University is hosting experts from The Carter Center, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, and The Task Force for Global Public Health for a discussion of critical issues in the public health field.

The discussion begins at 3:15 p.m. today, Oct. 22, and is scheduled to last until 5 p.m. It is scheduled for the Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe.

Scheduled to take part: Betsy McKay, Senior Writer, Global Health, Wall Street Journal;  Kelly Callahan, M.P.H.; director, Trachoma Control Program, The Carter Center;  Dr. Vik Kapil,
Associate Director for Science, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention – Center for Global Health;  David Ross, ScD, director and president-elect of The Task Force for Global Public Health.
