The Wylde Center will host its Fall Roots Festival on Sunday, Nov. 15, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Edgewood Community Learning Garden, 1503 Hardee St. The free event is open to the public and will feature a DJ, kids’ games, food tastes from the garden, face painting and refreshments, and will be held rain or shine.
“We want everyone to come see the progress we’ve made at the Edgewood Community Learning Garden,” said Derek Pinson, ECLG site manager and garden coach. “Thanks to our partnership with the Zeist Foundation, the nearly one-acre garden features a pollinator garden, rain garden, pond, raised vegetable beds, mushroom logs, chicken coop, teaching pergola and a tree house with a slide and tire swing.”
