Atlanta Police released a security video of a reported carjacking at Phipps Plaza on Jan. 31.

According to a police report, a man exited his 2015 Mercedes s550 in the parking lot near Saks Fifth Avenue when, he said, he was approached by a man who pointed a black pistol at his chest and demanded he drop his wallet and keys.

“He stated that he had just parked at the location near the Saks Fifth Avenue when a male from a dark SUV parked on the curb nearby got out of the passenger seat of the vehicle and approached him while he was walking away from his vehicle,” the report states.

“The suspect then pulled a black in color pistol out and pointed at the victim’s chest and told him to drop the keys. [The man] dropped his keys and wallet but the suspect only took the keys and got into his vehicle and left the scene. The dark SUV, later found to be a newer model GMC Yukon, followed behind the victim’s vehicle getting onto Lenox Rd going toward GA 400,” according to the report.
