Several local residents and leaders were recently sworn in as members of the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust, an educational agency that operates the “Anne Frank in the World” exhibit in Sandy Springs.

Brookhaven resident Evan Jacobs, appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal, is a speech-language pathologist at DeKalb County’s Lakeside High School. Her husband Mike Jacobs is a DeKalb County judge.

Dunwoody resident Robert Wittenstein, appointed by Georgia House Speaker David Ralston, is president of the Dunwoody Homeowners Association.

Sandy Springs residents appointed to the commission include Dr. Claire D’Agostino, City Councilman Andy Bauman, Sara Kogon, Rabbi Emeritus Philip Kranz of Temple Sinai and Atlanta Jewish Times publisher Michael Morris.
