A candidate forum for the House District 52 and Sandy Springs City Council District 3 races is slated for Mon., May 16 at Riverwood International Charter High School.

The forum, hosted by Sandy Springs’ Riverside Homeowners Association, will feature both candidates for the House seat—Graham McDonald and Deborah Silcox—and all five candidates for the City Council seat: Chris Burnett, Brian Eufinger, Joe Houseman, Suzi Voyles and Larry Young.

The moderator will be HOA president Reed Haggard, who is also a member of the Sandy Springs Planning Commission. The format will be a question-and-answer session based on residents’ questions. Questions can be submitted at info@riversidehoa.org.

House District 52, covering parts of Buckhead and Sandy Springs, is currently represented by Joe Wilkinson, who is retiring; the winner of the May 24 Republican primary will win the seat.

The Sandy Springs council District 3 covers much of the city’s west-central area. The council seat is vacant, as McDonald resigned from it to make his HD 52 run.

The forum will run 7-9 p.m. at the school at 5900 Raider Drive, Sandy Springs.
