Atlanta Police are searching for two men who were seen just hours before Bridget Shiel was found naked and shot to death in Oakland City Park on May 31. During a press conference held on June 10, investigators said Shiel, 19, was seen at the Shell Gas Station at Rockbridge Road and Memorial Drive in the passenger seat of her car with two men around 11:30 p.m. on May 30. Police at first believed Shiel was shot elsewhere then dumped in the park, but now believe a 911 call at 1:06 a.m. reporting gunshots in the park. Her car was found abandoned behind a restaurant in off Redan Road in DeKalb County several days later. Watch the full news briefing from Atlanta Police above.

Police also identified the young man that was shot and originally believed to have been dumped on the Downtown Connector on June 10. Investigators now say Homer Thirkield, 19, was shot on Sylvan Road in southwest Atlanta after gunfire was exchanged during an argument between people in two cars. Thirkield was being driven to the hospital when the driver or occupants of the car flagged down an ambulance and then left the scene. The ambulance transported the teenager to Grady Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police are looking for the people who abandoned him and those involve in the Sylvan Road shooting incident.
