socialAtlanta Police said during a Thursday afternoon press conference that threats made on Twitter against two Midtown gay bars were the results of a hack or “doxx” attack on the account’s owner. According to CBS 46, investigators said there is no credible threat against the bars.

APD and Homeland Security investigated the threats against Blake’s and TEN in the wake of the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

Police said during the press conference that they’ve spoken to both people involved and said their investigation led them to believe that there was no credible threat. If charges result, there would be a misdemeanor against the offender, police said.

“The investigation is leading us into a clear path that we may be able to narrow it down to whoever made the threats,” said Pickard. “The investigation is leading us into a clear path that we may be able to narrow it down to whoever made the threats.”
