tennis ballsThe 2016 BB&T Atlanta Open will bring more than 40,000 guests to Atlantic Station starting July 30 through Aug. 7. Along with the tennis matches, retailers and restaurants will be offering specials, promotions and more.

Some of the special events happening during the BB&T Atlanta Open include:

July 30-31: Kids Weekend
Kicking off the 2016 tournament, the special weekend allows kids 18 years of age and under to attend the day’s matches for free when accompanied by an adult with a ticket. (Up to four kids free per adult ticket.)

July 31: McEnroe vs. Bruguera Exhibition Match
Watch as seven-time Grand Slam champion, John McEnroe, takes on 1996 Olympics silver medalist, Sergi Bruguera, at the BB&T Atlanta Open Stadium Court.

Aug. 1: ALTA Night
Opening Ceremonies and Celebration of American Tennis presented by ALTA.

Aug. 2: High School Day | College Night & National Night Out
Students can purchase one ticket and get one free. Atlantic Station will also host National Night Out on West District Avenue from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Safety officers from around the city will be present to promote community involvement and safety. There will also be complimentary hot dogs and a meet-and-greet with local first responders.

Aug. 3: Post-Match Concert from LoCash
The dynamic country duo, LoCash, will perform a post-match concert on Stadium Court. All ticket holders for the Wednesday night match can enjoy the concert for free. LoCash is known for writing songs for Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and several other well-known country artists.

Aug. 4: Ladies Day presented by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
Ladies Day will highlight the day session with a VIP package, including an ATP player clinic.

Aug. 5: USTA Georgia Day presented by USTA & Post Match Fireworks presented by Coca-Cola
Atlanta is home to tennis fanatics with the world’s largest local tennis association (ALTA) and the nation’s largest USTA community tennis association. USTA Member Appreciation Day will be hosted by USTA Georgia. Following the night session, fireworks will light up the sky for attendees to enjoy.

Aug. 6: Fan/Volunteer Appreciation Day
During the day session, loyal attendees and volunteers will be recognized for Fan/Volunteer Appreciation Day.

Aug. 7: BB&T Champions Day
On the final day of the tournament, the BB&T Champions Day will celebrate the tournament’s successful tennis players who have reached the singles and doubles finals and honor local champions, in and outside of the world of sports.
