Monroe DriveAround 400 people attended a Complete Streets meeting on Tuesday night at Grady High School to offer their comments and suggestions for improving the Monroe Drive/Boulevard corridor. According to SaportaReport,  planners will present their recommendations in early 2017 on ways to improve the corridor. At that time, the community will be asked to comment on those concepts before a final design is reached. Improving intersections, repairing sidewalks, bicycle lanes, congestion and safety were all topics the attendees were invited to comment on during the session.

A path built more than 20 years ago but never completed could connect Kirkwood the the Atlanta BeltLine if voters approve themTransportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, or T-SPLOST. According to a report at WABE, the Trolley Line Trail, which followed the old streetcar route, was supposed to continue into Reynoldstown, but funding issues kept that construction from happening.

Curbed Atlanta has a report (via ThreadATL) about a proposed mixed-use development on DeKalb Avenue near Krog Street that could impact the building of a tunnel underneath CSX Hulsey Yard to connect the Atlanta BeltLine trail between Inman Park/Old Fourth Ward and Cabbagetown/Reynoldstown.
