The city of Brookhaven is hosting a community workshop on Monday, Sept. 12, at Marist School, 3790 Ashford Dunwoody Road, to discuss the Ashford-Dunwoody Corridor. The public is invited to attend to provide input.

The workshop is part of an ongoing study the city is conducting of Ashford-Dunwoody Road, between the city limits near I-285 on the north and Peachtree Road on the south. Two open-house meetings were held in March to gather input about issues, opportunities and creating a vision to improve the corridor for all users in the future.

Following these meetings and analysis of traffic and other data, the project team is looking for feedback about possible configurations and typical cross-sections.

The workshop will be an open-house style, meaning that anyone may stop by at any time between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The community workshop will include a recap of feedback from stakeholder meetings conducted in March, the results of the traffic analysis, and activities to get your input about potential options for configurations of the roadway and typical cross sections, including how to make sure the road accommodates all users, including bicyclists and pedestrians.

Last year, the Brookhaven City Council approved paying Gresham, Smith and Partners $125,050 to come up with a “corridor vision” for Ashford-Dunwoody Road.

Workshop materials will be made available on the city’s website at www.BrookhavenGA.gov for review following the workshop. If you are not able to attend, contact the project team at ADCorridorStudy@brookhavenga.gov or 770-754-0755.
