As many as 20 vehicles, including a limousine were struck with gunfire overnight after a shootout at a parking lot near a Midtown nightclub.

According to our broadcast partner CBS46, the incident happened just before midnight Thursday at the Opera nightclub on Crescent Avenue.

Police say they found 70 shell casings from five different guns and about 20 vehicles hit. Witnesses on the scene say they heard as many as 100 shots fired. No one was injured in the incident, and it is unclear what prompted the shootings.

  1. What on earth is going on? I have a friend who lives in a nice condo (but not one of the super-high-rises) just off Peachtree Street, and he and a friend were robbed at gunpoint at 7pm the other night in front of their building. Scary. One must be careful and alert–street smart–at all times. You can do this and still not live in fear.
