State Rep. Taylor Bennett (D-Brookhaven) will face Republican opponent Meagan Hanson in the House District 80 race on Oct. 18 at Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven.
Oglethorpe University President Lawrence M. ‘Larry’ Schall will moderate the debate that is also sponsored by the Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce and the Brookhaven Post.
The event is free and open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. at Lupton Hall Auditorium on the Oglethorpe campus, 4484 Peachtree Road, Brookhaven, Ga., 30319.
Bennett defeated J. Max Davis, former Brookhaven mayor, in a runoff election last year. Hanson defeated Alan Cole in the Republican primary this year for the chance to face Bennett.
House District 80 covers Brookhaven, Chamblee and a small slice of Sandy Springs.
