New York-based Posman Books has expanded south to Ponce City Market in the Old Fourth Ward. Named “Best Bookstore” by New York Magazine, the brand has two Manhattan-based shops, in Chelsea Market and Rockefeller Center. This is Posman Books first retail location outside of New York City.
The store, adjacent to Marine Layer in PCM’s open-air courtyard, offers an extensive selection of books, toys, games, and greeting cards inside a 2,300-square-foot space. The store features a children’s book section outfitted with kid-level cubbies and beanbag seating. Posman Books will also host a variety of exciting in-store events such as exclusive book signings and family friendly activities.
“Family-owned Posman Books has a history of providing a great selection of books out of their Chelsea Market and Rockefeller Center locations. We have always seen a bookstore as a crucial component of the Ponce City Market community and we’re thrilled to welcome them,” said Matt Bronfman, CEO of Jamestown.
Posman Books, which is a family-owned shop, has been in the bookselling business for more than 20 years in Manhattan. For more information, please visit posmanbooks.com.
