After Churchill Grounds Jazz Cafe shuttered at the Fox Theatre in Midtown, patrons were left wondering where the 20-year-old music venue would land. The location has been revealed: the new mixed-use retail development in Grant Park called The Beacon.

Churchill Grounds announced the news on its Facebook page this week with the note that The Beacon project is slated to be complete by fall 2017. In the meantime, Churchill Grounds plans to do pop-up jazz shows around the city and is running a GoFundMe campaign to help defray costs of moving into The Beacon.

The Beacon, a group of industrial and warehouse spaces at 1039 Grant Street, will be transformed into the retail and dining destination. Tenants already announced include Third Street Goods, The Grant Park Public House, Balanced Fit Life and Salon Vagabond.
