Police say two men, one armed with a black handgun and the other armed with a knife and metal pipe, broke into a woman’s apartment in the Dunwoody Glen apartments on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard through an unlocked window at about 6:30 a.m. while she was walking her children to their bus stop.

When she returned, the men tackled her, punched her in the face and hit her in the head with the handgun while demanding money. She was able to escape by fighting off the men. The two suspects then removed a large safe containing the woman’s valuables and escaped on foot.
