The city of Dunwoody is holding a household hazardous waste recycling event Sunday, Dec. 11, from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the City Hall parking lot, 41 Perimeter Center East.

Pre-registration is recommended on or before Friday, Dec. 9. Email Andrew Russell at Andrew.Russell@dunwoodyga.gov to register. The event is for Dunwoody residents only.

Items accepted:
Aerosols
Adhesives, resins, and epoxies
Mercury debris/articles/devices
Lawn care products
Automotive products (oils, degreasers, antifreeze, etc.)
Fluorescent bulbs
Photo chemicals
Prescription Pharmaceuticals
Hobby and artist supplies
Paints and Paint-related products
Cleaners and swimming pool chemicals
Poisons (rat, rodent, and insect repellents)
Pesticides

Items not accepted:
Agricultural wastes
Ammunition
Bio-hazardous/bio-medical waste
Explosives
Radioactive materials
DEA controlled pharmaceuticals

The city reserves the right to charge for materials that appear to exceed customary residential quantities, at the discretion of on-site city staff. Paint disposal limited to equivalent of 20 gallons per household. The event is rain or shine.
