A hazardous waste drop-off day for Sandy Springs residents will be held Saturday, June 17, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Morgan Falls Athletic Fields, 450 Morgan Falls Road.

Pre-registration is required through keepnorthfultonbeautiful.org/hhw-sandy-springs-2017.html. Drop-off is open only to Sandy Springs residents, not businesses or residents of other cities.

Items that will be accepted include: paints (up to 15 gallons); solvents; cleaners, aerosols; herbicides; pesticides; motor oil; antifreeze; cooking fats/oils/greases; pool chemicals; items containing mercury; propane cylinders; fire extinguishers; and smoke detectors.

Items that will not be be accepted include: electronics; medical waste; needles; explosives; ammunition; pharmaceuticals/drugs; non-hazardous waste.

The event is sponsored by the city and Keep Sandy Springs Beautiful.
