Keisha Lance Bottoms

The inauguration ceremony and swearing-in for Keisha Lance Bottoms as the 60th mayor for the City of Atlanta will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1 p.m. at King International Chapel on the campus of Morehouse College, 830 Westview Drive.

Incoming Atlanta City Council President Felicia Moore and new and returning Atlanta City Councilmembers and Municipal Court Judges will also be sworn in.

Bottoms defeated Mary Norwood in a run-off election earlier this month. The mayoral race began with more than a dozen candidates vying to replace Kasim Reed. Norwood asked for a recount in the run-off, and considered a court challenge for what she called voting irregularities. Norwood ultimately decided not to contest the results and conceded the race to Bottoms.
