Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has announced three more appointments to the City of Atlanta’s leadership team. Jon Keen, a veteran of the United States Army and manager of public sector teams for Deloitte Consulting, has been named Deputy Chief Operating Officer. Interim Director of Constituent Service, Curtis Bailey has been appointed to the permanent position, and long-time Atlanta news anchor and reporter Keith Whitney, most recently with CBS46, has been named Director of Communications. All three appointments are effective as of Wednesday, June 27.
Fast on the heels of the popular Bird scooters, Lime has launched its rentable electric scooter service in Atlanta. Lime-S scooters cost $1 to unlock and 15 cents per minute of riding. Lime has partnered with local businesses to distribute the scooters on their private properties, not in the public right of way or obstructing any sidewalks. The scooters are collected a daily basis for cleaning, charging and redistribution the next day. The scooters are GPS and 3G-enabled, making it simple for riders to find, unlock and pick up using their smartphone. For more information, visit limebike.com.
