Lincoln Property Company Southeast will handle management and leasing for 881 Midtown, a mixed-use development under construction in Midtown. 881 Midtown offers up to 40,622 rentable square feet of office space, 12,673 rentable square feet of retail and 6,977 rentable square feet of roof space, totaling 60,272 square feet. The development also features 342 luxury residential units above retail and office space. The project is set to deliver in December.

Fast on the heels of the popular Bird scooters, Lime has launched its rentable electric scooter service in Atlanta. Lime-S scooters cost $1 to unlock and 15 cents per minute of riding. Lime has partnered with local businesses to distribute the scooters on their private properties, not in the public right of way or obstructing any sidewalks.  The scooters are collected a daily basis for cleaning, charging and redistribution the next day. West Elm has opened its third Atlanta area store in the heart of Buckhead’s shopping district at Shops Around Lenox, 3400 Around Lenox Road. The 11,879 sq. ft. store offers products made by 14 Georgia-based makers and designers alongside the brand’s assortment of home furnishings and decor.

Topstitch at Ponce City Market

Topstitch, a “modern fabric shop and sewing studio,” will open on the second floor of Ponce City Market’s Central Food Hall in August, next door to forthcoming Root Baking Co. Previously located in Decatur, the shop will offer apparel fabrics, sewing tools, kits, crafty gifts and more.

Spaces has signed a 56,121 square foot lease at Star Metals Offices, the commercial office space component of the mixed-use Star Metals Atlanta development on Howell Mill Road. The co-working brand will occupy the building’s 7th and 8th floors, including a 5,642 square foot ground floor reception area and private Business Club.

Emory Healthcare and Kaiser Permanente will collaborate to develop a new care model that provides Kaiser Permanente members with healthcare at Emory University Hospital Midtown and Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital.

Luxury fitness and lifestyle brand SoulCycle has opened a new studio in the Around Lenox shopping center in Buckhead. The 3,128 square foot studio has 56 bikes and boutique performance and athletic/leisure collections.

Over $2.5 million of renovations have been completed at 1355 Peachtree Street in Midtown. A 62,000 sq.-ft. block of contiguous space on the seventh, eighth and ninth floors has just become available in the 20-story office building. Best known tenants at the property include law firm Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers and the National Headquarters of The Arthritis Foundation.

Horizons Atlanta has appointed former Atlanta City Councilman Alex Wan to the position of executive director. Horizons provides academic enrichment programs to low-income children from kindergarten into high school, and currently assists 800 students.
