MARTA and Midtown Alliance will hold a ribbon-cutting on Monday, July 23, at 10 a.m. to dedicate enhancements made to Midtown Station.

Through a partnership with Midtown Alliance, MARTA’s Artbound program commissioned a mural to be painted on the station façade by local artist Andrew Catanese. Other enhancements include astro-mound seating on the plaza and a busking platform for musicians.

“The Midtown district, considered Atlanta’s heart of the arts, has grown significantly because of the access to MARTA bus and rail. This partnership has created a new destination experience for the tens of thousands of riders who come through Midtown Station each week,” said MARTA General Manager & CEO Jeffrey Parker.

Parker, along with Midtown Alliance President and CEO Kevin Green will speak at Monday’s event which will be held at MARTA’s Midtown Station

Launched in June of 2017, MARTA’s Artbound program enhances the customer experience at transit stations through music, dance, and visual arts. Learn more at itsmarta.com/artbound.aspx.
