In Pieces by Sally Field

The 27th annual Book Festival of the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) is set for Oct. 30 to Nov. 18 with some of the nation’s bestselling authors.
This year’s festival repertoire of 45-plus authors has something to offer all book lovers. More than 13,000 people from across the Southeast are expected to attend the events to hear and meet favorite local, national, and international authors. Most events will be held at the MJCCA, 5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody.

While the main event doesn’t begin until Oct. 30, there will be a series of “prologue” events with authors Ronen Bergman (Oct. 18) and Academy Award-winning actress Sally Field (Oct. 21).

Authors slated to appear during the festival proper include Anna Quindlen, Stuart Eizenstat, Sen. Joe Lieberman, director Kenny Leon, cartoonist Mike Luckovich, Jon Meacham, Liane Moriarty, NPR’s Peter Sagal and many more.

“We are thrilled about this year’s lineup,” said Book Festival Co-Chair Bea Grossman. “The 27th Edition of the Book Festival of the MJCCA features everyone from acclaimed actors to renowned political figures; from historians to award-winning novelists; from headliners utilizing multi-media presentations, to authors presenting award-winning cookbooks and riveting memoirs. We truly have something for everyone – book lover or not.”

“Included in our exciting lineup are some of Atlanta’s best local authors presenting their work,” explained Book Festival Co-Chair Susie Hyman. “Additionally, I am thrilled that we will bring back our ‘In Conversation’ interviews between authors and local journalists; as well as various events with book clubs from throughout the city.”

Individual tickets can be purchased or guests can purchase a series pass. Some events are free. For the complete lineup and tickets, call (678) 812-4005 or visit atlantajcc.org/bookfestival.
