The Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta.

The iconic Peach Drop will return to Underground Atlanta to ring in 2019, according to a statement released by Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms’ office.

The mayor will be on hand for the annual New Year’s Eve celebration, which has been a fixture in Atlanta for 30 years. Last year’s Peach Drop moved to Woodruff Park as work continues on the transformation of Underground into a new mixed-use development.

Admission to the event is free and Underground will open to revelers at 6 p.m. and entertainment will begin at 7 p.m. Headliners this year will include Better Than Ezra, Jagged Edge and 112.

The giant peach will drop at midnight.

No weapons are allowed on the event premises and personal items such as handbags and book bags will be checked at all entrances. Celebrants are encouraged to take MARTA and rideshare services to the Peach Drop.
