The Sandy Springs Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting of an unidentified person near 550 Northridge Parkway around 8:20 p.m. on April 14.
When officers first arrived, they located a person suffering from a gunshot wound, who was later pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred at an apartment complex in north Sandy Springs between Roswell Road and State Route 400.
Sandy Springs Police Sgt. Giovanni Gomez, the department’s public information officer, announced the investigation into the fatal shooting.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation,” Giovanni wrote in a statement. “No additional details are available for release at this time.”
