The council also approved legislation to convert Baker Street between Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Piedmont Avenue from a one-way street to a two-way street.
A task force was established to engage the community in a conversation on the name of Rodney Cook Sr. Park.
A resolution to apply for a Fiscal Year 2019 U.S. Department of Transportation Better Utilizing Investments To Leverage Development (BUILD) discretionary grant in an amount not to exceed $16 million for the construction of the Atlanta BeltLine Southside Trail
It was also announced that Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms appointed Joshua Williams to serve as chief operating officer for the City of Atlanta.
Additionally, District 3 CouncilmanAntonio Brown introduced a resolution requesting Invest Atlanta create and administer a new community loan fund program to encourage small and micro business development and revitalization within Atlanta. The legislation was referred to the Community Development and Human Services Committee and the Finance and Executive Committee.
