The Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center has suspended all events through March 31, effective immediately, due to coronavirus concerns.

“The health and well-being of our patrons, artists and staff are of the utmost importance to us,” Mayor Rusty Paul said in a press release. “Taking a pause in programming will contribute to containment efforts called for by Georgia Gov. Kemp and national health officials.”

The release said the decision was made in alignment with recommendations from public health officials to reduce gatherings of large groups and the increasing threat of the infection.

The City Springs Theatre Company, which performs at the PAC with the City Springs civic center at 1 Galambos Way, has canceled the remaining performances of their latest show, “A Gentlemen’s Guide to Love and Murder,” according to a press release from the organization.

“The decision to cancel performances is not an easy one, as dozens of local actors, musicians, technicians and support staff rely on City Springs Theatre Company in making their living here in metro Atlanta,” Executive Director Brandt Blocker said in the release. “Our hearts go out to them and to all who are affected by these uncertain times.”

The PAC includes the Byers Theatre and the Studio Theatre.
