What immediate actions can city council take to aid in curbing the violent crime occurring in Atlanta?

To reduce violent crime, enforce the mandatory minimum three strikes out policy. Beer and wine sold on every corner in our community is a nuisance and a major factor to crime. I will hold the City Council accountable to enforce this law.
Will you make affordable housing a priority of your term on the council, and what actions need to be taking to insure meeting the goal of 20,000 affordable homes by 2026?
Yes. The One Atlanta: Housing Affordability Action Plan outlines a bold vision to achieve Mayor Bottoms’ vision to provide a pathway to affordable and equitable housing opportunities for all who desire to call Atlanta home.
Will transit on the Atlanta BeltLine corridor be a top priority and how will you work fast-track it?
No.
What can the council do prioritize combating climate change?
Educate tax payers on the benefits and how to transition to 100 renewable energy by 2035.
What are three issues specifically affecting your district that you plan to address while on council?
1. Clean up, provide trash removal from the streets and distribution of trash cans in all communities in the district.
2. Light up Atlanta by working with Georgia Power & DOT to repair all street lighting. Work with the Sanitation Department and cut tree limbs that hang over the sidewalks especially near our schools.
3. Fix up infrastructure that needs repairing and/or add new services to bridges, highways, sidewalks, railroad tracks, and end potholes by using Shirley Franklin’s pothole manual.
