In celebration of Henry Louis “Hank” Aaron, Atlanta Technical College held a grand opening for its Small Business Development Center (SBDC) on Feb. 1. The center will provide budding entrepreneurs with the resources needed to grow successful businesses in the Atlanta community.
Under the leadership of Atlanta Technical College president Dr. Victoria Seals, the SBDC is set to become a hub of innovation and opportunity for aspiring business owners. “Mr. Aaron was an amazing businessman and entrepreneur. Our SBDC continues his legacy and desire to help others to build sustainable careers and income,” said Dr. Seals.
Atlanta Technical College is collaborating with the Bank of America to bring in Tammy Napier to serve as director during the development of the center. With her extensive experience in providing strategic guidance and support to small businesses, Napier will help entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of starting a successful venture.
The SBDC will offer a wide range of services to Atlanta Technical College students and alumni entrepreneurs, including one-on-one consultations, business plan development, marketing strategies, financial guidance, and access to networking opportunities. In addition, the center will host various workshops, seminars, and training sessions on topics relevant to the small business community.
“We are thrilled to open the doors of our Small Business Development Center and provide our students and alumni with the tools and support they need to turn their dreams into reality,” said Dr. Victoria Seals. “By fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, we aim to create a vibrant small business scene that will not only benefit our students but also contribute to the overall economic growth of our city.”
