Two families from Atlanta are going toe-to-toe against each other and several competitors in the 2024 Pigeon Forge Family Challenge, a seven-episode YouTube competition series.
Taking place at tourist destinations such as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Dolly Parton’s Dollywood theme park, the competition show pits families against one another for the chance to win a $5,000 grand prize.
The participating families do battle in five different contests that span a variety of destinations throughout Pigeon Forge. Each unique contest forces the competitors to demonstrate a different skill, everything from athleticism to mental abilities.
Representing Atlanta is the Bolden family, which consists of Dayna and Ernest Bolden, along with their two children Aria, 9, and Bryce, 4.
Also coming out of the Peach State is the Daniels family, led by the parent-duo of Rosalynn and Harvey and accompanied by their children Harper, 9, Harvey IV, 6, and Hollis, 3.
“We’re a great team, and we’ll find the fun in anything we do as a family,” said Rosalynn Daniels. “We’re adventurous, and we have heart. This competition proves there’s nothing we can’t do when we do it together.”
Episodes began running on Feb. 6 and have been released weekly on the Pigeon Forge YouTube channel.
The competition show has two more episodes to release, with the series finale taking place on March 5, featuring an appearance by Dolly Parton, who will announce the winner.
“Our 2024 Pigeon Forge Family Challenge showcases many of the exciting attractions our city has to offer as a family vacation destination, including my Dollywood theme park,” said Parton. “Our five families are all winners because they truly made so many great memories that will last a lifetime!”
