Solidarity Sandy Springs is asking the community to help meet its fundraising goal by participating in the 2024 Hunger Walk Run being held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, March 10.

The nonprofit organization will receive a dollar-for-dollar credit at The Atlanta Community Food Bank for every paid registration to join Team Solidarity Sandy Springs. Funds raised for that team so far are 60 percent of its $4,500 goal.

Donors can join in person or virtually.

The 5K Hunger Walk/Fun Run will include a family festival with food trucks at The Home Depot Backyard in Mercedes-Benz Stadium at 1 Backyard Way, Atlanta. It will be held from noon to 4 p.m.

Online registration to join Team Solidarity Sandy Springs is open. Community members can make donations on behalf of the entire team or a specific member. They can also join the team and help out with a personal fundraising page.

Solidarity Sandy Springs is moving from its previous location at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. Until it opens its next location, pop-up pantries will be held at locations around Sandy Springs to serve its shoppers.
