Edward Dorsey, 22, has been formally charged with voluntary manslaughter of his father, music producer Clinton “D-Billz” Dorsey, 48.
The younger Dorsey was also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to the Brookhaven Police Department. He is being held in DeKalb County Jail without bond.
Edward Dorsey told police that an argument with his father over a dog breeding business escalated to gunfire, according to the AJC. The incident occurred at the ARIUM Lenox Park apartments.
Before being led away in handcuffs on May 2, Dorsey told an officer that he had been abused by his father since 2019, according to the police report.
