Fulton County Schools includes several schools in the cities of Johns Creek, Alpharetta, East Point, College Park, Fairburn, Milton, Roswell, Chattahoochee Hills, Sandy Springs, Union City, Hapeville, and Palmetto.
First day of school
The first day of school for the 2024-2025 school year in Fulton County is Mon., Aug. 5, 2024. Parents should make sure their children have all the necessary school supplies and are well-rested for the first day of school.
Holidays and breaks
The school year calendar includes several holidays and breaks.
The first break is Labor Day on Mon., Sept. 2, 2024. Tues., Sept. 3 is a Teacher Workday.
Fall Break is Mon., Oct. 14 – Tues., Oct. 15. Wed., Oct. 16 is a Professional Development Day. School resumes on Thur., Oct. 17, 2024.
Tues., Nov. 5 is a Teacher Workday and Election Day.
The Thanksgiving break will begin on Mon., Nov. 25, 2024, and end on Fri., Nov. 29, 2024.
Winter break will start on Mon., Dec. 23, 2024, and end on Mon., Jan. 6, 2025. The second Semester begins on Tues., Jan 7, 2025.
MLK Holiday is Mon, Jan. 20, 2025
A second Winter Break is Mon., Feb. 17-Tues., Feb. 18. School resumes on Wed., Feb. 19.
Spring break will begin on Mon., April 7, 2025, and end on Fri., April 11, 2025.
Finally, the last day of school will be Thur., May 22, 2025.
