The Downtown Atlanta building home to a U.S. Passport Office and U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs was evacuated Wednesday morning following a bomb threat.

Atlanta Police confirmed to Rough Draft that it’s “assisting the Federal Protective Service at 230 Peachtree St. NW regarding a reported bomb threat.”

At a noon press conference outside the building, APD Captain Neil Welch said explosive detection canine units were called in to sweep the building.

“No threats or hazards were located and we have allowed for reentry into the building,” Welch said.

He said the Federal Protective Service Police would lead the investigation.
