The Tara Theatre will be hosting a slate of free movies July 13-14 as part of Pluto TV’s “Summer of Cinema” Campaign.

The weekend is sponsored by Pluto TV, a free television streaming service, and will feature complimentary movie tickets in independent cinemas around the country during select weekends, according to a press release. This year, Pluto TV has partnered with 14 family-run and independent theaters around the country, including the Tara Theatre in Atlanta.

During the “Summer of Cinema” campaign, the Tara will be playing a number of free screenings, including Steven Spielberg’s  “E.T. the Extra Terrestrial;” the new film “Fly Me to the Moon,” starring Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson; and a new romance called “Touch” from director Baltasar Kormákur.

Tickets will be available on a first come first serve basis at the door. Showtimes are expected to be posted on the Tara’s website soon.
