The Knights of Columbus’ pumpkin patch, celebrating its 13th year,  has returned to All Saints Catholic Church, 2443 Mt. Vernon Rd.

“This charming country market has become a fall tradition for families throughout the Dunwoody area, offering so much more than just pumpkins,” a statement from the Knights of Columbus said.

Visitors to the patch will find a large selection of heirloom pumpkins, mini pumpkins, gourds, and stackable pumpkins. Long-time attendees can enjoy the “Singing Pumpkins” display, which occurs on  the weekends.

The pumpkin patch will be open on weekdays from noon to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday throughout October. Proceeds from the event will support charitable causes.

The Knights of Columbus donates to church and community organizations such as the Boy Scouts Eagle projects, and have financially supported communities  affected by natural disasters.  After Katrina’s devastating destruction in 2005, 50 members of the Knights spent weeks in Bay St Louis to help restore that community, according to Dunwoody resident Danny Ross.

Ross said preliminary plans are to help those affected in the wake of Tropical Storm Helene. All donations must have non-profit status and be approved by the board and the membership. For more information, visit www.kofcpumpkins.com
