Sandy Springs is rolling out a selection of summer camps, offering dynamic and enriching activities to inspire, energize, and empower children of all ages.

With several specialty camps, city staff says families can customize a summer experience that fits their child’s passions and interests. Options include Kids’ Yogaland, the Abernathy Arts Center, soccer, tennis, and gymnastics.

Soccer Camp

Get ready to hit the pitch and sharpen your game at the Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks Soccer Skills Camps. The summer camp is a high-energy program designed to help players of all levels, ages 8-14, sharpen their footwork, master new techniques, and deepen their love for the sport. The camp meets at the Hammond Park athletic field weekly from June 8 to July 17.

Abernathy Arts Camp

The Abernathy Arts Center’s summer camp sparks creativity through hands-on projects in painting, drawing, and mixed media. Each week, campers ages 6-12 explore artistic expression while developing technique and confidence in a collaborative, imaginative environment. The summer camp runs from June 1 to July 24, offering morning, afternoon, and all-day sessions.

Kids’ Yogaland

Each half-day session at the Hammond Park Community Building is packed with fun-filled activities like yoga, games, and crafts designed to inspire mindfulness and joy for campers ages 5-10. There is a theme every session at the week-long camp in early June, including beach, balance, and baking yoga.

Jump Start Gym

Join Jump Start’s Summer Camp program for beginner, intermediate, and advanced gymnastics for children ages 3-12. Campers will learn new skills in a fun and safe atmosphere while being exposed to vault, bars, beam, and floor.

Tennis Camp

For an exciting and educational tennis summer camp experience for young players, look no further than the Sandy Springs Racquet Center. The experienced staff at the Tennis Academy of the South will offer tailored instruction for young players, ages 5-14, looking to develop their skills and have fun on the court.

Pickleball

The Sandy Springs Racquet Center is also offering pickleball camps designed to provide a fun, active, and engaging athletic experience. The camp runs Monday through Friday and welcomes players of all ability levels, from beginners learning the fundamentals to more experienced players looking to sharpen their skills. Through structured instruction, drills, and game play, campers ages 8-14 will develop technique, strategy, and confidence on the court while making new friends and having fun.

The recreation and parks department says space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
