Willie Jewell’s Old School BAR-B-Q in Marietta will shutter for good this Sun., Nov. 17 according to an Instagram post. They invite patrons to come by this week to enjoy their favorite dishes and share stories before their closing.

This week is the launch of Forever I Love Atlanta Night (F.I.L.A.) at Midtown Bowl. Starting every Tuesday at 5 p.m. you can enjoy $1 wings from Ethiopian pop-up Ruki’s Kitchen in addition to drink specials. Check out their Instagram here for more details.

Burger chain Shake Shack, known for its made-to-order burgers and fries, will open in the former Wahlburgers space at Battery Atlanta in 2025, according to the AJC. It will be only the second US storefront with a bar. The restaurant has more than 500 locations worldwide, including seven in Georgia. 

Latin Restaurant Weeks (LRW) celebrates its third year in Atlanta starting Friday. Intended to drive awareness to local Latinx chefs, restaurant owners, caterers, coffee shops, bakeries, and culinary pop-ups, the event will run through Nov. 30. Lingering Shade Social Club is hosting a cocktail masterclass Sun. Nov. 17, from 5-7 p.m. Attendees will craft a ​​Cranberry French 75 with Botanist Gin, a Penicillin, and a New York Sour (with optional egg whites). Read here for more details.

The musical film “Wicked” is on its way to theaters; here are a few fun ways to toast to its arrival. Take your pick from a lineup of pink and green cocktails at Distillery of Modern Art (the Jardin du Luxembourg), Hawkers (the Dragon Fruit Freeze – a combination of tequila, dragon fruit, lime, and lemon – served slushie style), Muchacho (the Stone Fox or the Mary Jane), or Superica (the Texas Star 2.0 – a blend of Gran Centenario Reposado, St. Germain, hibiscus port syrup, ruby red grapefruit, and lime). 

Flight Club Atlanta is also getting in on the “Wicked” action with The Ladybird – Plantation Rum, hibiscus, lime, watermelon, and egg white – The Snapdragon, a blend of Ketel One vodka, grapefruit-rose, guava, lychee, lime, and dragon fruit – or the Oaxacan Seaglass, a combination of green chili house-infused Banhez mezcal, lychee, lime, and ginger.
