Divan, the Midtown Persian restaurant located in The Castle, is now offering brunch service. Expect dishes like avocado Persian pancakes with rosewater confit, tandoori shrimp and couscous with herb gremolata, or avocado naan toast with pomegranate – all from their new chef, Christian Evans.
Looking for a fun date night? Friday cocktail classes at The Upper Room – recently opened at Ponce City Market – kick off this week starting at 6 p.m. Expect a weekly guided tasting and hands-on preparation of three signature cocktails. You can purchase your tickets here.
Weekdays from 5-7 p.m. you can join in on the Sake & Sando Happy Hour at Brush Sushi in Buckhead Village. Look for a curated sake menu alongside sando (sandwich) offerings like the wagyu burger katsu, or the miso duck with cucumber, fried leeks, root veggie crisps, and miso hoisin sauce. If you already have an eye towards the holidays, The Blind Pig Parlour Bar in Buckhead has you covered. While The Blind Elf pop-up is already in full swing with festive-themed drinks and an à la carte menu of small plates and desserts, reservations are now also open for the full Blind Elf Experience, which begins Fri., Nov. 29. Or, check out pop-up bar Tinsel Tavern at The Battery Atlanta. Returning for its third year, the bar will be open for festive fun seven days a week. There will also be themed events throughout December, including an ugly sweater party and holiday karaoke. Check out their website for details.

In other opening news, Dips Kitchen will get its first brick-and-mortar location at The Krog District the first week of December. The walk-up concept will feature selections like The Fried “Hot” Chicken – roasted chicken in hot sauce, cucumber pickles, classic “ranch” flavors, and spicy chicken crunchies – or The Low Country Shrimp Dip with Georgia shrimp tossed in Old Bay seasoning, mixed with celery, fennel, and lemon. Georgia-based Tip Top Proper Cocktails and Creature Comforts have teamed up to create a beer riff on the classic Jungle Bird. The ale is a mix of tropical fruits and bitters with notes of pineapple, lime, cherry, and herbs, reminiscent of Tip Top’s award-winning canned Jungle Bird cocktail. Jungle Bird will be on tap and to-go for a limited time at Creature’s Athens Taproom; it is also available on draft at local restaurants and in cans at retailers across Atlanta.
