The Atlanta Board of Education has chosen three finalists to fill the District 6 seat on an interim basis.

The three candidates are: Nathan Jester, Wayne Martin Jr. and Tolton Pace.

The selected candidate will replace Eshé Collins, who was elected to the Atlanta City Council during a December runoff.

The board will present these finalists at a community engagement meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Villages of Carver Family YMCA. Rough Draft received notice of the meeting an invitation just before 4 p.m. on Jan. 6.

ThebBoard will vote on the District 6 finalist and host a swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 1 p.m. at the Board of Education Auditorium.
