The Riverwood Athletic Association will hold its first online auction fundraiser from Feb. 1-15, to fund facility updates that were not part of the school’s major renovations.

“We’re excited to offer our community the chance to score amazing items while making a meaningful impact on the lives of our athletes,” said Angie Dumler, Riverwood Athletic Association (RAA) vice president of fundraising. “This is a great way for supporters of Riverwood to show their spirit and continue to build on our strong foundation of our leading sports program.”

Community members can bid on various local experiences, services, and items supporting the Riverwood athletic community, the news release said.

The funds will be used for finishing touches in the basketball gym and football field, renovations that were not part of a seven-year renovation project that was completed in October 2022.

A preview of the auction items is available online. Featured auction items from Sandy Springs and the greater Atlanta community include Club Level tickets to an Atlanta Hawks game, an in-home dinner with Elissa Oliver, Riverwood’s award-winning chef/ culinary instructor, a three-course wine dinner at Baronda, tickets to “Peter Pan” at the Fox and many more.

The Riverwood Athletic Association is a volunteer-led organization committed to supporting all athletic programs at Riverwood International Charter School. Through fundraising and community events, the RAA provides vital resources to help student-athletes thrive on and off the field.

“At Riverwood, we are fortunate to have an umbrella booster club, the Riverwood Athletic Association, that supports all of Riverwood’s athletic programs. The RAA is a 501(c)(3) under new transformative and dynamic leadership and filled with parents who want to see all athletics and the community of Riverwood succeed,” Riverwood Athletic Director Matt Taylor said, according to the news release.
