The Brookhaven Police Department arrested a woman on multiple drug charges with the help of a drone, which caught the suspect in action.
After receiving a tip on Wednesday, Feb. 6 that illegal drug sales were being conducted in the Marathon gas station parking lot at 3259 Buford Highway, BPD used a drone first responder to take video of a crime in action.
Officers approached the driver of a black Jeep Cherokee after observing two hand-to-hand transactions with a pedestrian and the driver of a white SUV.
An Axon body camera video shows two police officers telling the woman to exit the Jeep and “give me the weed.” Officers discovered 15 grams of methamphetamines, 13.8 grams of cocaine, 1.5 ounces of marijuana, and Oxycodine pills inside her vehicle.
Contrina Williams of Atlanta was arrested and charged with six counts of possession of an illegal substance and intent to distribute. She was released on bond the following day, according to DeKalb County Jail records.
