
On May 9, Dancing Stars of Atlanta will be back for its 15th annual gala to support Alzheimer research, but people can get a sneak peek at one of the contestants and raise money on March 1.
Gayle Leff Goldstein is hosting “Alzheimer’s Shucks” to raise awareness and donations for research. The event is 1 – 4 p.m. at “Message in a Bottle” restaurant in Dunwoody, 5515 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Click here for ticket info.
“Dr. Goldstein is an outspoken advocate for Alzheimer’s awareness, a cause that has remained deeply personal to her throughout her life,” according to a release about the event, “She knows firsthand the heartbreaking impact memory loss can have on individuals and their loved ones.”
More than six million Americans aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s dementia, according to the statement. By 2050, the number of Americans age 65 and older with Alzheimer’s dementia may grow to a projected 12.7 million.
The 2025 Dancing Stars of Atlanta, will be held Fri., May 9 from 6 -11 p.m. at the InterContinental Buckhead, 3315 Peachtree Rd.
