Two musical acts are being added to the lineup of the biggest free music festival of the spring — Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival on March 29-30 at Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road.
Up-and-coming country artist Colton Bowlin will hit the stage on Saturday, March 29, and American rock band Switchfoot will play on Sunday, March 30.
Bowlin grew up in Albany, KY, where he developed a deep connection to the traditions of country music. Influenced by iconic country artists and his small-town upbringing, Bowlin’s music reflects his roots and authentic storytelling. The Saturday lineup includes headliner O.A.R. and Gavin DeGraw.
On Sunday, concertgoers can watch headliner Boyz II Men, along with Pop 2K Tour and Switchfoot. A rock band from San Diego, Switchfoot has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide of their 13 studio albums, including their 2003 triple-platinum breakthrough “The Beautiful Letdown” and the 2009 Grammy Award-winning album “Hello Hurricane.” The band has racked up a string of Alternative radio hit singles, and performed sold-out tours in more than 40 countries around the world.
This year’s festival is bringing back favorite features including the Splash artists’ market, Kids Zone in partnership with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, pet world, a classic car show, and food trucks.
Last year, the City of Brookhaven estimated 58,000 people attended the live music festival.
