Atlanta Pride has announced the opening of application for the 2025 Pride across the Peach State grant program, an initiative supporting LGBTQ+ organizations and events across Georgia.
“Our community is Strong, and incredible work is happening across Georgia to uplift and support LGBTQ+ individuals,” Chris McCain, the Executive Director of Atlanta Pride, said in a statement. “This grant program ensures those efforts receive the funding and recognition they deserve so that LGBTQ+ people in every part of our state feel seen, supported, and celebrated.”
This marks the second year of Atlanta Pride’s grantmaking initiative. The grant’s inaugural year made a significant impact to the tune of $50,000 in support across thirteen organizations in both urban and rural communities.
Previous grant recipients include Atlanta Black Pride, Carrollton Rainbow, Compassionate Atlanta, Cultivate Savannah, Debra Smith Wellness Center and Colgay Pride, Macon Pride, Out On Film, Rome Georgia Pride, Savannah Pride Center, Smyrna is Fabulous, South Georgia Pride, Southern Fried Queer Pride, and Statesboro Pride.
With the financial and collaborative support, the grantees were able to engage over 37,000 people with an array of events.
This year, Atlanta Pride will award grants of up to $5,000 to support local Pride events and initiatives that promote LGBTQ+ arts, create spaces for LGBTQ+ connection, celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community, combat LGBTQ+ discrimination, and strengthen the sustainability of LGBTQ+ organizations. Groups for underrepresented communities, including trans and gender-expansive people, people of color, individuals with disabilities, intersex people, bi/pan communities, older adults, youth, and affirming faith-based groups, will be prioritized.
Applications for Pride Across the Peach State will be accepted through March 31. To apply, visit atlantapride.org/community/grants.
