The Georgia Tech student who was shot in the head at an off-campus student housing complex in Midtown died on Tuesday, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

The 22-year-old male student has still not been identified by APD, which has released few details about the incident.

The shooting occurred on Sunday, May 18, just before 7 p.m. at 699 Spring St., which is the address for The Connector student apartments located just a few blocks from the Tech campus.

According to the incident report, officers arrived at the building and found a male with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The victim was not conscious, but was breathing when transported to the hospital.

Preliminary investigation suggests the victim was arguing in the hallway, which led to his being shot.

A Georgia Tech spokesman confirmed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the victim was a student.
