
The Brookhaven Police Department has announced a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case of a teenager who was shot and killed near Clairmont Road around 10:40 p.m. on June 14.
BPD responded to calls about the 15-year-old, whose name has not been released, on the Northeast Expressway between Briarwood Road and the back entrance of an apartment building at 2924 Clairmont Road. After investigating, officers determined that the location of the shooting was near the McDonald’s at 3334 Clairmont Road in Brookhaven.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Detectives are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident, according to a press release from Brookhaven Police Department Public Information Officer Lieutenant Carlos Nino. The investigation is still ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
